YWAM Urban Missions Fortaleza
My Father’s House began as a simple dream to address injustice here in the city we love, reaching out to children and adolescents who had made the streets their home.
Over many years of living and working in Fortaleza we have watched as boys have died on the streets - victims of drugs and crime, families have disintegrated, living in misery and poverty. Children have become ensnared in prostitution and an endless stream of youth find themselves imprisoned, their communities ravished and their dreams lost. . . Out of this need to address issues of injustice Urban Missions – My
Father’s House was born. It started small and has gradually gathered momentum.
We are a small team with a big dream. Life without injustice. Our goal is to serve, love and seek ways of ending injustice in a variety of circumstances. We do this through restoration programs, mobilizing and engaging people of all ages and cultures in projects aimed at educating and transforming lives through the love of Jesus.
We want to see hope and dignity restored. We want to see systems changed and we want to see justice for every family and community. We are committed to seek life without injustice.
